What are your thoughts on rest?

We are conditioned to feel guilt with rest, or to feel like we need to have earned it.

Well, firstly Mama, you have earned it. And secondly rest is productive.

The Seven Types of Rest

  1. Physical rest: Stretching, restful sleep, gentle movement

  2. Mental rest: Schedule worry time, brain dump, take breaks

  3. Sensory rest: Wear blue light glasses, unplug, go on DND

  4. Spiritual rest: Meditate, pray, visit a place of worship

  5. Social rest: Spend time with positive people or take a break from socialising

  6. Emotional rest: Honour your boundaries, connect with people you trust

  7. Creative rest, go on a nature walk, read a book for fun, create to create
